A 1-Day Itinerary for the Perfect Gatlinburg Getaway

1. Fuel Up on Pancakes

One quick glance and you’ll notice Gatlinburg is lined with pancake houses! In fact, it’s known as the “Pancake Capital of the World”. Gatlinburg’s rich hotcake history dates back to 1960 when Pancake Pantry became the first such establishment to open its doors. More pancake places would follow. Log Cabin Pancake House makes another wonderful option and is one of the most popular places for pancakes in all of the Smokies. Atrium Pancakes, Little House of Pancakes and Crockett’s Breakfast Camp all serve up fantastic flapjacks in Gatlinburg.

2. Dart for the National Park

Great Smoky Mountains National Park is the crown jewel of the Smoky Mountains and a must for any vacationer! This national park is America’s most-visited and for good reason. There are plenty of exciting activities you and your family can take part in when you visit the national park. Hit the more than 850 miles of hiking trails to discover flora, fauna and wildlife while also coming across historical structures. Scenic drives through the park offer a way to explore without having to break a sweat on your Gatlinburg getaway!

3. Kick Back at Tennessee Cider Company

4. Stroll Through Downtown

5. Dinner at The Peddler

There’s only one way to finish a busy day in Gatlinburg – by enjoying a delicious dinner with loved ones! The Peddler is one of Gatlinburg’s finest steakhouses, serving several different cuts of steak, in addition to chicken and seafood dishes. Peddlers visit your table with a full loin of ribeye and New York Strip, cutting your steak right in front of you before throwing it on the grill! Plus, the unlimited salad bar at The Peddler is incredible and comes complimentary with your entree.
